Q. "to 3000 why does a laser engravement affect the electonics? there is no vibration and a slight enhancement of temperature on the site where the battery is will not do any harm?"
A. "The machine that we used to use did affect the stethoscope. With respect, we did try to engrave the electronic models, but it used to damage them. The temperature that the previous laser operates at is hundreds of degrees. However, we have recently purchased a new laser engraver that uses a different technology that allows us to engrave directly onto the electronic models."

Q. "Would it be Windows Vista compatable soon?"
A. "Hello. The 4100 with its infra-red communication works with VISTA (if the computer has an infra-red adapter). You can transfer the data to the PC, the *.e4k file will show up on the desktop. The SAS software is officially not fully compatible with Vista. However, I have tried it successfully with Vista business. The SAS will allow to save WAV files, they are basically suitable for Media player and office applications. Unfortunately, this will not entirely sound like in the scope as the WAV file has raw data, with no filter applied. I suggest to use the SAS to play as this allows to play with bell or diaphragm filter and you see the courser. Kind Regards"

A. "The best thing would be to purchase a USB based infrared port - they are very inexpensive - you may wish to look at a UK electonics / PC site such as Ebuyer for such an item"
