Q. "Does this Glucometer come with the instrument used to prick or draw blood from your finger? If not do you sell those to? Or do you need a specific instrument for this...can you just use a needle?"
A. "Hello. We are not medically trained but would not advise using a needle. A small amount of lancets are included with the product and we do sell these additionally. A selection of lancets can be found on the following link:http://www.medisave.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=lancets"

Q. "How can you reset the meter"
A. "The reset function is fairly complex to alleviate any possibilty of accidently erasing previous data. In order to reset the monitor you need to press the "M" (Memory button) this turns the monitor on and then press and hold the "arrow down" button which scrolls through the data as you are scrolling you need to then press and hold the "M" button which will hi-light all data and display "DEL" when this appears on the screen let go of both buttons and an option will appear to delete all, you then press "M" and all data disappears. This infomration also appears in the instruction manual within the pack."

A. "Yes the test strips are included in the price and this Glucometer comes with 25 test strips."

How to perform the test:
Step 1: Insert the grey end of the Ascensia MICROFIL test strip into the meter.
Step 2: Lightly touch test strip to drop of blood and hold until meter bleeps.
Step 3: The test result will be displayed after a 5 second countdown.To turn meter off, simply remove the test strip.
The CONTOUR meter from Bayer needs only a very small drop of blood (0.6 microlitres) to give accurate results. This sample is smaller than that required by most available meters.
