The Speed Rechargeable Power Supply Unit UA is a feeder for nebulizers for MED 2000 aerosol therapy (mod. U1, U2, U3, U4, P1, P2). It is made up of a NiMH battery pack and of a speed recharge electronic system of the batteries themselves. Thanks to the innovative technology and to the serious selection of components, the UA is able to satisfy the duration needs, by keeping the atomisation level high. It is, therefore, possible to make oneself autonomous from the electric network, being certain to carry out the therapy with the same efficiency, both for the quantity and the quality of the generated aerosol, than that obtainable with a network-supplied nebulizer. The UA contains a NiMH battery that, besides disposing of duration and reliability important characteristics, is not dangerous for the environment, as it doesn't contain toxic or dangerous elements such as the cadmium, the mercury or the lead. The battery recharge is carried out by means of an intelligent controlling system that is able to detect when the battery is charged and, therefore, to commute into a maintenance reduced charge mode. Moreover, the recharging system, thanks to temperature and voltage sensors, is able to establish the recharge type on the base of the voltage and temperature values measured on the battery, by elevating its medium life and the duration of the charge. The Power Supply Unit, like MED2000 atomisers for which it has been designed, is compliant to the European Directive of medical devices 93/42 and certified by the authorised controlling body DNV.
