Q. "How often does the Nonin 8500 need to be serviced or calibrated? Are related costs covered under the 3 year warranty?"
A. "The manufacturer informs us that the Nonin 8500 does not require routine in-service calibration. The 3 year warranty would not cover recalibration, but any damage to the product, including the sensor, over that period. It is testament to the robust nature of this range that it has US Air Force approval for use in areomedical evacuation."
