2ml Unifix Reduced Dead Space Luer Slip Syringe barrel.
This quality 3 part syringe has a spike on the gasket that fits inside the tip of the syringe to reduce the residual fluid volume after injection.
The displacement spike reduces the amount of drug or blood that can be left in a syringe after use when compared to a standard luer fitting needle and syringe by around 50%. This is because although it eliminates dead space in the syringe almost completely, half of the dead space in needle syringe combinations is in the hub of the needle.
