The SAM IO® Intraosseous Access System is a manual, battery-free IO device engineered for rapid vascular access when traditional IV lines are difficult or impossible to obtain. A Class I Medical Device designed for use in emergencies, pre-hospital intervention scenarios and hospital settings, the SAM IO enables effective intraosseous access in:

  • Proximal tibia (adults)
  • Distal tibia (paediatrics only)
  • Humeral head (adults)

Unlike battery-powered devices, the SAM IO is always ready, with no charging or no waiting times - it's ready when you are. Whether you're on the frontline, in the field or in a hospital setting, the SAM IO delivers rapid, effective access to the vascular system when IV placement is not an option.

The SAM IO offers a stable IO route for fluid resuscitation, medication delivery, and blood draws for up to 24 hours.
