This 10ml Sol-M syringe is designed for oral injections, reducing the risk of delivery errors and improving patient safety. The special tip is made to avoid connecting with hypodermic needles and standard Luer connectors.

How to fill an oral syringe?

  1. Place an adaptor into the medicine bottle, then attach the oral syringe and turn the bottle upside down
  2. Draw the medicine out slowly until the plunger matches up with the required dose mark
  3. Place the bottle upright on a flat surface and remove the syringe
  4. Check you have the correct dose
  5. When the patient is sitting direct the syringe to the inside of their cheek before pushing the plunger slowly, enabling the patient time to swallow without choking

How to clean an oral syringe?

  1. Fill a clean bowl of water with hot, soapy water
  2. Place the syringe tip in the water and draw up the plunger in and out several times until all the medicine has been removed
  3. Fill a clean bowl with clear water
  4. Place the syringe tip in the water and draw up the plunger in and out several times until all soapy residue has been removed
