Algisite M 5cm x 5cm - Pack of 10

Algisite M is a calcium alginate dressing that forms a soft gel when it comes into contact with wound exudate. Algisite M is ideal for moderate to heavy exuding wounds. The dressing forms a gel which does not adhere to delicate healing tissues so can be easily removed and washed away with saline water.

Algisite M dressings are comforable and flexible allowing the material to be molded, folded or cut to fit a wide variety of wound sizes and shapes. As the fibers in the dressing knit together it creates a greater contact with the wound and reduces fiber shredding.

The production of gel creates a moist wound environment and helps prevent eschar foramtion. The Algisite M gel helps with wound contact reducing scarring and allowing gaseous exchange.

Algisite M can absorb up to 13x its own weight in exudate allowing the dressing to remain on the wound for up to 7 days.
