The BD Nexiva closed IV catheter system provides longer dwell times and reduced complication rates versus the traditional open system. Featuring BD Instaflash needle technology that provides quick blood visualisation, which can help improve insertion success and BD's Vialon biomaterial technology that softens up to 70% in the vein, allowing for longer dwell times and reducing the chance of mechanical phlebitis.
The BD Nexiva also has a built-in stabilisation platform for reduced dislodgement and a pre-attached extension tube to offer a closed system that minimises blood exposure during catheter insertion.
