This pelvis anatomy model shows the structure of a female pelvis skeleton. The special plastic used to construct the model ensures realistic surface structure and colour. The structures illustrated include the pubis with pubic arch and pubic symphysis, obturator foramen, ischium, acetabulum, anterior superior iliac spine, ilium, iliac crest, sacroiliac joint and the sacrum.

This model pelvis is similar to that of the size of an adult woman. A great value model for demonstration of the basic anatomy of the female pelvis. The pelvis model is robust for hands-on demonstrations and handling, ideal for physiotherapy and other musculoskeletal professionals, and for antenatal education to demonstrate the process of childbirth.

The female pelvis shows the following typical features, in contrast to the male pelvis:

Pelvis Shape: Short and broad
Pelvis Cava: Like a barrel
Aperture Pelvis Superior: Rounded
Sacrum: Broad and short
Angles of pelvis arch: 90 - 100 degree
Symphysis pubica: Short and broad
