Cardiac TROPONIN T Sensitive
The TorpT sensitive is a quantitative immunological rapid test in order to test the presence of cardiac troponin T in anticoagulated venous blood. The test is easy to read and requires no special training.
Results are available within 15-20 minuites of the blood sample being applied to the test.
This test contains two monoclonal antibodies specific for troponin T (gold-labelled and biotinylated). These form a so-called sandwich complex with troponin T. After the erythrocytes have separated, the plasma flows through the detection zone of the test. If the concentration of troponin T is higher than 0.1 ng/ml, the detection line turns red. This is due to the accumulation of troponin T sandwich complexes. Excess gold-labelled antibodies bind and stain the control line. If the control line is visible, the test is functioning properly.
How it works
Remove the test strip from the box and place it on a flat surface before taking a blood sample. Make sure to use EDTA or heparinised venous blood. Place the blood sample on the test strip and wait 15-20 minutes for the results. The test is positive if there are two bars.
