  • This newly-developed model of the human arm offers a significantly higher degree of realism in terms of appearance, feel and particularly puncture resistance in comparison to conventional models.
  • The vein system is modelled in three-dimensional form and can be punctured at any chosen place.
  • Both the veins and the skin possess self-closing characteristics. In the event of faulty or very frequent puncturing at a single site, a haematoma will occur that generally disappears once the blood has dried.
  • In contrast to most other training arms, soft tissue and bony structures are realistically modelled and can be felt by touch.
  • The arm is suitable for several hundred punctures, depending on the size of needle, puncture technique, deployment of various puncture sites and care in handling.
  • The especially developed synthetic blood closes the veins after they have been punctured, meaning they are considerably more durable than in conventional training models.
  • The arm is maintenance-free and is replaced after intensive use, doing away with the need for upkeep.
  • The costs of this arm are comparable to the replacement costs of skin and veins of a classic arm plus labour cost.
  • Further highlights comprise the possibilities for simulation of the radialis pulse and extremely realistic insertion of arterial accesses, also in the Seldinger technique.
