HEINE BETA 400® F.O. LED Otoscope head with LED HQ technology is a service free, durable quality instrument designed for everyday use in clinics and hospitals. The scratch resistant glass viewing window provides 4,2x magnification and the brightness is fully adjustable between 3-100%. The LED HQ technology provides spectacular color rendering (3,500 K, CRI: 97) also in the red area (R9: > 93) for a more reliable diagnosis.
The LED incorporates a heat management system ensuring that the high level of brightness (77 000 lux with AllSpec disposable ear tip), homogeneity and color rendering is guaranteed the virtually unlimited life time (100 000 hours in use). HEINE LED HQ – The right quality of light throughout the lifetime, no bulb exchange, no service, longer battery life.
HEINE BETA 400® F.O. LED Otoscope head must only be used with 3,5V HEINE handles, for example rechargeable BETA 4 handles or EN100 wall units.
HEINE BETA 400® F.O. LED Otoscope head can be used with HEINE AllSpec® disposable ear tips, reusable tips as well as insufflation bulb.

LED in HQ: The new standard in LED illumination defining optimal light intensity, homogeneity and colour rendering for the most accurate diagnosis.
- Red is red, blue is blue. Colour temperature: 3,500 K, Colour Rendering Index (CRI) > 97, special index for red colours (R9) > 93 on a maximum scale of 100.
- Special optical interface to precisely integrate the LED illumination with the optical system to ensure bright (77,000 lux with tip), homogeneous light during examinations.
- Exclusive continuous brightness control between 100 % and 3 % (patent pending) with one-finger operation.
- One hand operation.
- The unique patented design allows the permanently attached optical system to be flipped open and out of the way, enabling instrumentation and ease of cleaning.
- Integrated insufflation port offers tympanic mobility testing without air leakage.
- Full functionality of the BETA400 LED is guaranteed with BETA Recharcheable Handles and the EN100 Wall Transformer.
BETA 200 LED Ophthalmoscope
- Exclusive dustproof design protects the precision optical components and ensures maintenance-free operation.
- The BETA200 / 200 S Ophthalmoscopes are the only instruments with an aluminium frame system.
- Optical components are flush-mounted on a cast aluminum frame, eliminating misalignment and making the instrument shock-resistant.
- The BETA200 LED has virtually unlimited hours of working life (up to 100,000 hours).
- No need to ever replace bulbs.
- Maintenance-free for a lifetime.
- Range of lenses: 27 lenses from -35D to +40D.
- Without macula aperture (pinhole).
- Exclusive continuous brightness control between 100 % and 3 (patent pending) with one-finger operation.
- No stray light due to the recessed, multi-coated viewing window – eliminates distractions.
- Precise one-hand control of the instrument.
- Ergonomic design offers flexibility while examining.
- Suitable for large as well as small or undilated pupils.
- Ergonomic design fits the orbita comfortably, and blocks out ambient light.
- Exclusive aspherical optical system (AOS) redirects corneal reflections away from the examiner‘s path of sight providing a crisp, clear view of the fundus.
- Eliminates the need for filters and other systems that reduce resolution.
