Leukoplast Type 13 8ply Compress Cotton Gauze Swabs 5 x 5cm

Leukoplast compress cotton gauze is a skin-friendly swab for wound cleansing, protection and cover. They absorb exudate or fluids, are breathable, and their tucked-in raw edges prevent linting.

Non-sterile gauze swabs should only be used on closed wounds. Only use sterile gauze as a wound dressing on open wounds as this prevents contamination.

Ideal for wound cleansing, skin preparation, general cleaning or as a primary or secondary dressing.

How to apply a gauze swab?

Remove from the packet using an aseptic technique, typically using forceps. Dampen the gauze in saline water and clean the wound area with it using forceps. Use a piece of gauze once and throw it away to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
