Mepore Film & Pad 9cm x 25cm

This Mepore film and pad is ideal for use on low to moderately exuding wounds, such as surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions. This dressing is sterile, transparent, self-adhesive, absorbent, showerproof and has a bacterial barrier.

The Mepore dressing is made up of:

  • An absorbent wound pad with a non-adherent wound contact layer
  • A showerproof, transparent polyurethane film coated with a solvent-based polyacrylic adhesive
  • An application frame and tabs of siliconeised paper

How to use

Cleanse the wound and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the printed release liner and apply the adhesive side to the skin, taking care not to stretch the dressing and ensuring the pad covers the wound. Remove the paper frames and tear off the two white tabs, then gently press the border to ensure proper adhesion to the skin.

The dressing should be changed before it is fully saturated, at signs of leakage or as indicated by a healthcare professional/

When removing the dressing, grasp the edges and gently pull the film along the skin in the direction of hair growth.
