NewGenn Wet Wipes were designed to the specifications of a hospital Infection Control Nurse who wanted to replace seven different wipes with just one.
Numerous wipes are used in households which presents the challenge of knowing which one to use in each situation. This same challenge exists in hospitals where it is common for hospital staff to have six or seven wipes from which to select.
An additional challenge shared by households and hospitals is that wipes containing alcohol as the killing agent do not kill Noro Virus, the virus that now causes frequent outbreaks of infectious vomiting disease in homes, schools and hospitals.
NewGenn Wet Wipes were designed to the specifications of a hospital Infection Control Nurse who wanted to replace seven different wipes with just one.
The requirements were that the wipes be:
- Maceratable
- Large enough to wrap easily around the hand
- Soft for use on patient skin, including babies
- Leave a nice feel on skin
- Free of alcohol to avoid the hazards of flammable vapours
- Contain a bactericidal liquid that killed dangerous bacteria in the EN 1276 test in less than 1 minute
- Contain a virucidal liquid that was effective against Noro Virus
- Cost effective
How Does It Work?
In the simplest terms: bacteria and most viruses are dissolved from the outside going inwards, while small viruses are dissolved from the inside going outwards.
The natural plant oils on which the product is based account for the nice feel to skin and the absence of alcohol explains why it does not sting in cuts and cracked skin.
