Siliflex non-adherent dressing 5cm x 7cm

Silflex is a non-adhesive wound contact dressing made from polyester mesh coated with an atraumatic, hydrophobic soft silicone, making it useful for patients with very thin, friable tissue.

Silflex is designed to gently adhere to skin surounding the wound instead of the wound bed to reduce the pain and trauma that comes with dressing change. These dressings have 2mm pore holes which allow the passage of exudate through the dressing.

These non-adhesive wound dressings are ideal for treating and preventing skin tears.

How to use

Remove the clear lines on either side of the dressing and placee directly over the wound. Silflex may overlap the wound edges. Cover with a secondary dressing of choice.

Silflex can be cut to size using sharp, sterile scissors.

The dressing may be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the wound condition which will be assessed by a healthcare professional.

The wound bed can become too moist as a result of poor secondary dressing choice, which may lead to hypergranulation.

Who is this for?

Ideal for use by healthcare professionls, e.g. nurses, doctors, hospital staff, clinicians and emergancy medical personel, as well as patients and caregivers.
