Smarty Saver Fully Automatic Defibrillator, a basic and affordable defibrillatior that is easy to use. It can be easily operated by anyone in the medical field, such as ambulance personnel and the non-medical field such as the general public. The Smarty Saver can deliver one or more defibrillating shocks on adult or paediatric patients affected by ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia, by means of a thorax impedance-compensated, biphasic truncated exponential discharge (BTE).
The Fully Automatic model checks if a shockable rhythm is dectected and will warn the user of the imminent shock delivery. After 5 seconds, the defibrillating shock will be released automatically; the CPR phase will follow.
The phase following the defibrillation, that is the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, will be guided by voice prompts and the metronome marking the various cycles of compressions and insufflations.
