Peak flow meters are used for testing lung effectiveness by measuring how fast a patient can push air out of their lungs. It also helps manage and review long-term conditions like asthma by providing a score which can be recorded and compared against previous scores to indicate changes.
The myPEF disposable peak flow meter is for single patient use only and is supplied with a unique ID card, which allows users to access a free and secure website where they can log their PEF readings, eliminating the need for paper records.
